RCTQ provided technical assistance to the DepEd Bureau of Human Resource and Organizational Development (BHROD) in the planning and conduct of the virtual field validation of the plans and tools of the PPST-based Results-based Performance Management System (RPMS)  recalibrated to be responsive to the challenges of the pandemic.

RPMS tools for SY 2020-2021 were already validated in 2019 and nationally rolled out for implementation for the school year. But due to the challenges in teaching and learning brought by the pandemic, DepEd-BHROD sought the need to capture these changes in the teachers’ performance management for SY 2020-2021.

The validation activity took place on 9-14 September 2020 via Zoom and was participated in by teachers, including master teachers and head teachers, school heads, education program specialists, and education program supervisors.

The primary purpose of this validation was to further improve the adjustments made in the standards-aligned RPMS for SY 2020-2021 due to COVID-19, and capture and solicit the insights of selected raters and teachers who serve as ratees across the country on the modifications.

RCTQ consolidated the validators’ feedback on the developed alternative RPMS processes, protocols, and tools for SY 2020-2021 which would provide inputs to the BHROD and the RCTQ team to further improve those processes and tools.
