TWG members discuss approaches in developing session guides for PPSSH and PPSS rollout.

RCTQ assisted the two DepEd technical working groups who were at the helm of the development of DepEd’s standards for school heads and supervisors in creating session guides to aid the upcoming national rollout of the Philippine Professional Standards for School Heads (PPSSH) and the Philippine Professional Standards for Supervisors (PPSS).

The two groups converged at a hotel in Quezon City on October 16-18, 2019.

Members of the TWG for the PPSSH are current and former school heads from various school divisions, including Dr. Filmore Caballero (Principal, Valenzuela City); Dr. Enerio Ebisa (Principal, Iligan City); Ms. Marylou Argamosa (Principal, Ligao City); Dr. Sarah Ganancial (Principal, Guimaras); and Dr. Luz E. Osmena (ASDS*, Bacoor City).

Dr. Enerio E. Ebisa (Principal, Iligan City) and Dr. Filmore Caballero (Principal, Valenzuela City expound on the outline of the session guides for PPSSH.

The TWG for PPSS on the other hand is composed of Dr. Marilyn Siao (SDS**, Catbalogan City); Mr. Renato Felipe (PSDS***, Manila); Ms. Irene Dayandante (PSDS, Camarines Sur); Dr. Marife Morcilla (EPS, Lipa City);  and Dr. Leah B. Apao (ASDS, Cebu).

The activity followed the endorsement of the draft standards by DepEd regional directors and Undersecretary Jesus Lorenzo Mateo last September 24. The activity also resulted in the development of a nationwide rollout plan for the two sets of standards.
