RCTQ held the Regional Directors’ Orientation Meeting last August 1, 2014 at the Ramada Hotel in Binondo, Manila. Seven regional directors and seven representatives from different regions attended the meeting, which aimed to present the purpose of the Teacher Development Needs Study (TDNS) and sought the commitment of regional leaders to allow their respective regions to be included in the study.

This research project aims to assess what teachers actually know and can do in the light of the recent developments in education and the passing into law of the K to 12 reform. The national survey is the second phase of the TDNS project , which aims to test teachers in all 17 regions of the country on their content knowledge, using the tools developed by RCTQ subject experts.

DepEd Undersecretary for Programs and Projects Dr. Dina Ocampo explains the different projects and reforms of DepEd and RCTQ’s roles in the implementation of the K to1 2 reform and other projects of the department.
