RCTQ participates in Pathways’ partners convergence meeting

RCTQ participated in a convergence meeting among service providers for the Australia-supported Education Pathways to Peace in Mindanao (Pathways) program. The gathering mapped out areas of complementation in the different technical assistance (TA) packages across the different sub-sectors of the Bangsamoro Ministry of Basic, Higher and Technical Education (MBHTE).
Senior Program Manager Dr. Ali Anudin and Project Officer Ms. Lizette Anne Carpio represented RCTQ at the meeting on 7 March 2023 in Cotabato City.
The meeting tackled the six-month progress and status of TA packages in curriculum and teacher development across the various learning sites and institutions in the BARMM which the Pathways team called ‘centers of gravity’. Various teaching and learning research results/findings and its implications to the Pathways support to the MBHTE were also being analyzed. The meeting also aimed to generate recommendations and areas of improvement “to tighten integration of teaching and learning at the learning sites and institutions.”
Dr. Anudin discussed RCTQ’s technical assistance to the MBHTE through its two current projects with Pathways—the Teacher Development in Higher Education (Pre-service) and the Teacher Development in Madrasah Education (In-service)—under Session 3: Improving Learning and Development Systems for K-3. He talked about issues and challenges that the two projects sought to address, as well as the results, outcomes, challenges, lessons and future plans.
The Pathways program is a partnership between the Australian government and MBHTE, with support from the Bangsamoro Government and the Department of Education. (RCTQ Comms)
