NEAP and RCTQ met on 10 January 2020 at a workshop discussing the NEAP authorization and recognition guidelines for non-DepEd learning service providers (LSPs) that led to the review, revision and refinement of the NEAP forms this year.

RCTQ collaborated with the Quality Assurance Division (QAD) of the National Educators Academy of the Philippines in reviewing and refining five (5) authorization and recognition application forms and tools which NEAP now uses for authorizing learning service providers (LSPs), and for reviewing their proposals.

NEAP recently announced its call for the second batch of professional development program and course proposals for public school teachers and school leaders from authorized LSPs.

DepEd Secretary Leonor Magtolis Briones issued DepEd Memorandum No. 21, s. 2021 inviting authorized organizations to submit their tenders in line with DepEd Order 001, s. 2020 titled Guidelines for National Educators Academy of the Philippines (NEAP) Recognition of Professional Development Program and Courses for Teachers and School Leaders. The first call was announced on 29 April 2020.

One of the virtual meetings between NEAP and PNU-RCTQ for the validation of the revised NEAP forms.

The authorization forms and tools are used in the formal evaluation of non-DepEd entities seeking to become providers of recognized professional development programs and/or courses, while the recognition forms and tools will be for ensuring that professional development programs and courses for teachers and school leaders uphold their respective professional standards in terms of their development and delivery.

RCTQ provides research and technical assistance to NEAP as indicated in DepEd Order No. 11, series of 2019 or the Implementation of the NEAP Transformation.
