RCTQ’s partnership work with offices at the Department of Education continues despite the implementation of the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ).

Except for workshops and big meetings being moved indefinitely, RCTQ research teams have continued working with the National Educators Academy of the Philippines (NEAP) and the Bureau of Human Resource and Organizational Development (BHROD), through video conferencing, regarding their deliverables for March and April 2020.

RCTQ works with NEAP in enhancing the Teacher Induction Program (TIP), developing a career advancement program (CAPRO) for teachers and in designing a higher order thinking skills (HOTS) program for teachers.

Earlier, RCTQ helped the Academy in drafting DO 001, s.2020 or the Guidelines for NEAP Recognition of Professional Development Programs and Courses for Teachers and School Leaders which was issued on 23 January 2020 by Secretary Leonor Magtolis Briones. The Guidelines aims to ensure that all programs and courses, whether internally or externally provided, are aligned, integrated, and consistent with the wider and standards-based NEAP professional development framework.

RCTQ has worked remotely with the BHROD on the immediate deliverables for embedding further the professional standards for teachers, and those for school heads and supervisors in DepEd’s HR systems.
